学生习作①
学生句子：Government claims that teacher should teach student some self-protection skills.
Eric点评：可数名词不可“裸用”。
在正式英文写作里，凡是常规的可数名词，必须在前面有限定词，比如冠词 a/an/the，物主代词 my/their/your 等等，指示代词this/that 等等。否则，这个可数名词就必须用复数。
在这个句子中，government要么用the government，要么用governments，后面的teacher和student都一样要加上复数。
正确：The government claims that teachers should teach students some self-protection skills.
学生习作②
学生句子：Work at home using modern technology can greatly enhance our efficiency.
Eric说：动词原形不能作主语。
而且在这个句子中如果work做了动词，后面can enhance也是动词，就出现双谓语的情况，因此把work改成working.
正确：Working at home using modern technology can greatly enhance our efficiency.
学生习作③
学生句子：Intelligent students should not be treated different by their teachers.
Eric说：词性使用错误。
different的词性为形容词，而修饰形容词或者动词的时候应该用副词。
正确：Intelligent students should not be treated differently by their teachers.
学生习作④
学生句子：Letters were the most important way of communication in the past, e-mail becomes its biggest rival now.
Eric说：这个句子并不属于简单句、并列句或者复合句中的任何一种的定义。
因为出现了两套动词，因此我们可以将这个句子变成并列句，而前后两句之间是对比关系，所以我们可以在中间加对比连词或副词，比如while。
正确：Letters were the most important way of communication in the past while now e-mail becomes its biggest rival now.
学生习作⑤
学生句子：The line graph illustrates how amount of energy consumed in U.S. from 1980 to 2018 and anticipate the variations of different types of energy consumed to 2030 in the future.
Eric说：冠词使用错误、固定搭配使用不当、词汇多样性匮乏。
in the U.S. 多数国家前面不需要加定冠词the；但是，①国家名称是复数形式，如Netherlands(荷兰)前面需要加上the. 此外，②还包含单词state, republic, kingdom(e.g.: the United Kingdom) ③比如seas, oceans, rivers, deserts, mountain ranges, gulfs, peninsulas 等前面需要加上the ④还有一些固定搭配，如 the amount of … / the number of… / the city of New York / the University of Oxford.
the amount of ... 固定搭配；
consume = use = deplete(进阶词汇：英文含义: to reduce something in size or amount, especially supplies of energy,money,etc)
正确：The line chart illustrates how the amount of different types of energy consumed in the U.S. from 1980 to 2018 and anticipates the variations to 2030 in the future.
学生习作⑥
学生句子：For example, in the past, will spent us nearly a month even longer to receive a message. Nowadays, a minute only, we can get information. Owing to the internet, a huge amount of emergency accidents can be solved in a minute. It is beneficial to every individuals, leading to finish a task in high-efficiency.Thereby, improving interpersonal communication.
Eric说：[主语呢？] [为什么要用转折？] [前面用的是in the past，后面竟然用了will]
一个完整的英文句子至少包含主谓。however，thus等连接副词不要随意乱用，要根据前后句子的逻辑关系进行添加。时态需要保持一致！同时我们发现上面句型简单而且缺乏多样性，所以，在语言上可以继续精进。
正确：In the past, getting in touch with someone in a different country was difficult and frequently expensive. Today, people can take their phone out of their pocket and contact people all over the world at the push of a button.
